Q: |
What does the M.M.Inst.V
refer to? |
A: |
The title refers to a qualification
gained by submitting previous samples of work to a
panel of experts to assess if the work fits certain criteria.
The title will help you to distinguish between
those offering a professional service and those who are not
sufficiently skilled in this very specialised art form. Please
read the press
release or visit the IOV for
further details. |

|
Q: |
What type of camera do
you use? |
A: |
We use broadcast quality 3 chip CCD
video cameras for the best possible video capture of your wedding
day. |
|
|
Q: |
How many cameras are used? |
A: |
At Image Factory we use at least
two digital video cameras – experienced operators man
both cameras. |
|
|
Q: |
What difference will I see with a
video filmed with 2 cameras rather than one? |
A: |
Using two or more cameras has major
advantages. For example if a guest walks across the shot the
second camera can still capture the moment. The extra camera
can also capture the moment you would not normally see, and
the extra camera angles make for a more enjoyable viewing experience. |
|
|
Q: |
Is there an extra charge for the
second camera operative? |
A: |
The second camera operator is included
in all of our wedding video packages up to the speeches when
they are optional at a further cost. Please refer to our price
list for details. |
|
|
Q: |
Do you have any samples? |
A: |
Yes you can view a sample of highlights
on our web site (link to sample video) but we would advise
viewing a full wedding video production if you can spare the
time. The highlights are only about 10% of any finished video
and you really need to view the other 90% before you make
any important decisions. Call 01246 268282 to arrange a viewing
of a full wedding video. |
|
|
Q: |
I want to be able to hear my vows,
so what type of sound can I expect from your video production? |
A: |
The sound will be excellent from
our cameras, as we use some of the best shotgun microphones
and also radio microphones. The radio microphone will be attached
to the groom before the wedding ceremony starts to enable us
to clearly record the bride, groom, official and of course your
wedding day vows.
You may see other company's warning of the possibility of radio
interference when using radio equipment. Please do not worry
as with all of our equipment, the radio microphones are of
the same quality as used by television broadcasters. This
is also one of the reasons why we attend your rehearsal -
to check for any possible problem and eliminate them before
your wedding day. |
|
|
Q: |
Will I notice you on the day? |
A: |
Our day starts about 2 hours before
the ceremony as we like to capture the wedding venue in all
of its glory before guests and officials arrive, and make a
final sound check in the wedding venue. We use a candid approach
to all of our filming and as such try to be as unobtrusive as
possible, but at some point during the day you may sometimes
notice us if only when we say good bye at the end of your wedding
day. |
|
|
Q: |
Do you attend rehearsals? |
A: |
We try to attend all rehearsals as
we feel that this is an important part of making sure the actual
wedding day service flows smoothly. However, we cannot guarantee
attendance as the day of your rehearsal may coincide with other
appointments. Please try to give us as much notice as possible
to enable us to attend your rehearsal |
|
|
Q: |
What about the editing? |
A: |
We consider this process to be just
as important as capturing the original digital footage. As such
every stage of the editing procedure - from the titles to the
sound are all handled in house by Dean – at no point is
the quality compromised by including 3rd parties into the editing
process. |

Q: |
How is the DVD created / will the
DVD work in my player? |
A: |
Information (video and audio) on
commercial DVD's is "stamped" or "pressed"
onto the disc which is then compatible with all DVD players.
Most companies that offer wedding DVD's however, "burn"
the information to disc using a computer and DVD re-writer.
There are two main ways of doing this, either in the DVD-R format
or the DVD+R format. Both formats are compatible with only approximately
80% of DVD players that are less than two years old. Most manufacturers
of DVD players are now ensuring that all their new models are
compatible with DVD-R. Our films are supplied on the DVD-R format
for maximum compatibility. |
|
|
Q: |
How long will it take to edit my
video to DVD? |
A: |
Your fully edited wedding film will
usually be ready within three weeks of your wedding day, although
this will change if you would like any still photographs from
your honeymoon included in the finished product. |
|
|
Q: |
How will my finished DVD be supplied? |
A: |
Your DVD will be supplied in an
Italian leather presentation folder - you can see what it will
look like by following this
link to our Premium Presentation folder |
|
|
Q: |
Will you include everything in my
video? |
A: |
Your finished video will be between
40 and 80 minutes long - depending on the package chosen. As
such, we will not be able to include everything we shoot because
on average we capture between 6 and 8 hours of video from your
wedding.
Don’t be fooled
into thinking that a longer video means a better video. Rather,
a longer video generally means a lot more skipping through
the boring parts. We believe the length of a video should be
determined by the value of your content and not by an unwritten
rule that says your video should be at least 2 hours long. |
|
|
Q: |
What if I want photographs too? |
A: |
We work well with other
professionals, and understand what photographers require on
the day. largely, we base our approach on your preference and
all we ask is that you let both Dean and the photographer what
you require from the day.
If you haven't decided on a photographer yet why not contact
Anthony Keye or
check the special offers section of
this site |
|
|
Q: |
OK I want to book you but how much
notice do you need? |
A: |
Popular summer date fill up quickly
so as much notice as possible, but between 6 to 12 months should
be ok. If you have any special requirements or if the wedding
location is a long distance away we would advise at least 12
months notice. All you need to do now is visit the contact
page and either e-mail you details or
better still give us a call |
